It’s hard work to build multiple good habits into your life when negativity seems to be surrounding us every day especially during a pandemic; it can be even more challenging.
Making it harder for many people including myself to know where to start.
I found that if you know how to stay positive in a negative world, you can take back control from the darkness.
You can decide that you will be happy!
You can decide that you will wave, smile, and be positive. Here’s how. I’ve compiled this list of 15 habits that will help you stay positive. In fact, I believe that these 15 habits will help inspire and motivate you, and hopefully, encourage you to make some positive changes in your personal life.

Would you describe yourself as a pessimist or as an optimist?
The fact is that you can be both. When you encounter a situation, you can choose to be optimistic about it or you can choose to be pessimistic about it.
Every choice you make is based on whether you’re going to give the benefit of the doubt to that person or that situation or you’re going to trust yourself instead.
1. Choose Gratefulness: The worst times can be the best if you think with positive energy. –Domenico Dolce
2. Detach from the source of stress: Excuse yourself from a meeting, take a break from a project, remove yourself from an argument. Detach for a five-minute if the task is making you stressed.
3. Give thanks: Give thanks for all things. Giving thanks isn’t complicated, but it isn’t easy either. It is a discipline—the habit of turning our hearts and minds to the past and present work and no matter what still finding a reason to be greatful for the outcome.
4. Listen to feel good Music: You favorite tunes, a good podcast, whatever can do to get you out of your head… do it! Turn the music up and have a mini-dance party with yourself. try my song “Never Give Up”!
5. Stop Looking for Negativey: Instead of looking for or expecting the negative, seek out the perfection which still exists within the imperfection of our world today.
6. Meditation: Take up meditation. Start with 4 minutes a day. Find a quiet place, set a timer, close your eyes, and focus on your breaths.
7. Exercise! Not only is exercise good for your body, it can improve your mental health as well. Exercise reduces stress and can provide you with more energy for the rest of your day.

8. Express gratitude: by writing down three good things that happened to you each day. (This gratitude journal can help you.
9. Laugh: even if you have to force it. The mere action of laughing releases endorphins. If you get stuck, here are 27 funny podcasts you can listen to.
10. Avoid Negative Habits: “You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” -Joyce Meyer. Negativity is like yawning. It can be highly contagious and you don’t realize you’re participating until you’re already doing it. Avoid these negative habits as often as you can and you’ll discover positivity might be right around the corner.
11. Be Patient; Patience means staying calm while you wait, success comes with practice and experience. Patience means giving yourself lots of chances to succeed by trying again and again.
12. Catch up with friends (remotely) just because you’re at home, doesn’t mean that you have to be in total isolation. Facetime or call friends and family to let them know how you’re doing. Catch up with old friends that you may not have had the opportunity to reach out to in the past. Trust me, you’ll be a help to each other!
13. Find your tribe: Eliminating negative people in your life can have the most instant positive impact in your life. It’s amazing how friendships that build you up can redirect negative energy into a positive release.
14. Keep PERSPECTIVE: Steven Pinker, the author of the book, Enlightenment Now Said: “Keep some perspective. Not every problem is a crisis, plague, epidemic, or existential threat…problems are inevitable; but problems are solvable…We take so many gifts for granted. Newborns who will live more than eight decades, markets overflowing with food, clean water that appears with a flick of a finder, and waste that disappears when we put it outside in our trach bins.

Unplug: Social media is stressful for a lot of reasons, we find ourselves feeling inadequate scrolling through picture perfect Pinterest kitchens or overwhelmed by our workload and people that need us instantly via our devices… set a time that you’re “off” and stick to it. Don’t work, don’t scroll… just unwind, preferably with a glass of wine try this one (It’s my Favorite and soooo..Good).
